REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience
  • Marketing data science is required
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance, or equivalent quantitative field
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing a better understanding of the performance of the business
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
 PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Customer lifetime value or Economic value experience would be a plus
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
  • Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
  • Experience in building ML models to solve practical problems
Typical task -
  • 90% heads-down work
  • 10% meetings
Day to Day:
  • Will be interacting with the marketing team, data analytics, and maybe some data engineers/ data architects
JOB DESCRIPTION
Looking for a Data Scientist that has Customer Segmentation (Marketing).

 This Contractor may act as a liaison with the data team in India, so there may be an opportunity to jump on meetings and work later in the evening.
 This candidate will work with the Data Analytics team to develop a customer segmentation work stream.
This will entail helping the business go deeper on customer insights to understand what their key retention and attrition drivers are. Sharing those insights back to the marketing team to help the marketing team develop customer retention campaigns.

*This role requires a self-starter.
**This candidate will be the only person in the world doing what they will be doing. While they will have ppl around them who can help give them feedback on the data they are finding but this person will not be joining a team of Data Scientists.
This will be a net new scope. Due to this the team is looking for someone with a lot of experience who can come in from a head-down standpoint drive on their one with a data team they can leverage and a marketing team they can collaborate with.
