Seattle, WA- 3 in office to align with current team schedule / 2 virtual

Pay rate range: $38/hr. to $40/hr. on w2.
 
Position:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites. QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
# BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 2-4 years industry experience testing software, including website applications.
# Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
# Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle
# Experience is developing and executing test plans, test cases
# Experience on using test management tools like Testrail etc. is desired
# Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java and SQL is desired, but not required.
# Experience with Selenium highly desired

Projects:
  • Supporting 3 products – divided into 3 teams per products. Engineers will be working with existing team to work alongside them initially to support testing of products. Depending on performance may end up working independently.
Interaction with team:
  • Daily start up meeting to provide updates and plan for day / next day.
  • Engineers attend meetings to learn more about what is going on with products / issues / tasks
  • Communication with stake holders as well prior to execution of tasks. Also need to be able to work with SDE/Product teams as well to communicate through issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Selenium highly desired
  • Experience on using test management tools like Testrail etc. is desired
  • Ability to understand system design and architecture – this  will help to understand the backend of systems better. 
Performance Indicators:
  • Good communication – open communication with stakeholders / be able to work with others outside the main team. 
  • Good at solving product problems and executions / understanding of systems.
