  • The Zendesk Technical Guide Developer position focuses on customizing and enhancing the Zendesk Guide platform using the Copenhagen theme.
  • This role requires proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with Zendesk Guide's features.
  • The developer will be responsible for creating user-friendly interfaces, ensuring responsive design, and aligning with the company's customer support objectives.
  • The Technical Guide Developer will work closely with functional leaders and organizational units.
  • This individual will be responsible for the primary Help Center configuration, while also fulfilling smaller requests for the Zendesk accounts across the organization.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Customize the Zendesk Guide Copenhagen theme to meet our specific business requirements.
  • Develop and implement responsive design feature to ensure a seamless experience across various devices.
  • Work closely with the UX/UI design team to understand their intuitive and engaging user interfaces designs.
  • Collaborate with the customer support team to understand user feedback and translate it into functional improvements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ensure compatibility and functionality across different web browsers.
  • Make Help Center changes to Zendesk accounts across the organization and create custom templates for branded reuse across the organization.
  • Regularly update and maintain the Help Center, implementing new features and fixing bugs as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Zendesk Develop.
  • Provide technical and advisory support for projects conducted by Zendesk Support Admins.
 
Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in web development.
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Engineering, or related science and math discipline with a Technology emphasis
  • Proven experience in web development, specifically with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Zendesk Guide and familiarity with the Copenhagen theme.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience delivering solutions.
  • Experience working on tight deadlines for implementation projects.
 
Preferred skills:
  • Familiarity with Zendesk APIs and App Frameworks, ZIS, OKTA, Azure B2C, JIRA, and Zendesk Apps.
