SCM Internship Job Description

Our internships are meant to be professional experiences for students to gain practical work skills that will combine

in-class theory with real-world applications. The student(s) will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, adhere to their committed work schedule, and always follow all health and safety guidelines of the plant.

Work Area This person will spend approximately 80% of their time at the Keller Warehouse location with the remaining at Bridgewater Interiors Lansing facility

Reporting Structure This person will report to the Assistant Materials Manager

Hours The primary hours will be 7 AM 4 PM Monday-Friday (1 hr. lunch) with some overtime during evenings and weekends as required.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities for Launch Summer Internship:

Ensure launch inventory space is organized and inventory accuracy is maintained.

Track the inventory/kits incoming and outgoing between the warehouse and the main Bridgewater facility.

Report out both electronically and verbally any inventory shortages

Audit build kits for correct materials and report/resolve any issues found

Perform cycle counts and reconciliation of any inventory variances.

Participate in the end of event purge and inventory reconciliations with engineering and materials team.

Help with visual aids, storage improvements, and other continuous improvement projects as assigned.

Support quality rejection/disposition and any incoming discrepant inventories.

Report accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and inform supervisor of known HSE&E conditions which could adversely affect other team members, assets or to the public
