Qualifications:
• 1-5 years' experience identifying, analyzing and solving problems with an emphasis on emergency management.
• Working knowledge of project management principles and ability to manage, coordinate, and plan several projects simultaneously.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to plan, develop, and implement solutions.
• Capable of taking self-initiative and driving for results.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong client focus and exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively work with external and internal organizations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong knowledge Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with FEMA and/or CalOES planning concepts and principles.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the review, development, implementation and administration of policies and procedures for the enterprise planning framework.
• Coordinate and participate in stakeholder engagement activities pertaining to all-hazards emergency preparedness, planning, response, and recovery.
• Support administration of planning software solutions.
• Foster and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with internal and external participants involved in emergency planning.
• Respond to the Emergency Operations Center when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
