Degree or Certification: BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent

Job Description: 
We're looking for an outstanding mechanical engineer to help accelerate micrometeoroid and orbital debris (MMOD) risk analysis on spacecraft.
This candidate will be pre-processing/meshing flight hardware mechanical designs, using custom tools to simulate MMOD impact risk in-flight, and documenting results in a report.
The ideal candidate is familiar with Python, familiar with mechanical CAD/drafting, able to work independently, and is a talented writer.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• BSc/MSc in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent
• Knowledge of MCAD software 3D modeling (preferably Siemens NX)
• Experience meshing geometry (preferably Siemens FEMAP)
• Preference with Python
• Strong communication and writing skills

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Micrometeoroid and Orbital Debris (MMOD) general knowledge
