Job Description
  • New-to-Canada, one of the portfolios in the Segments Marketing team, is hiring a Marketing Manager to help support the growing requirements with end-to-end responsibilities. It’s a dynamic line of business with initiatives that require strategic thinking and problem-solving, effective communication and time management, strong attention to detail especially in execution, and ability to translate research and data into actionable insights.
  • Main responsibilities, but not limited to, are events sponsorships and strategic partnerships.
  • This individual thrives as a team player and independent contributor, and will be reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • The Marketing team is responsible for all consumer-facing communications and supports the Product team’s initiatives and goals, which ultimately delivers on Client’s business objectives. All communications are to be correct, consistent and compliant.
 
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
  • Main responsibilities, but not limited to, are events sponsorships and strategic partnerships. Support with executional work and campaign management for all NTC as needed (i.e. request for translations and creatives, billing, coordinating with various parties on deliverables, etc). Overall, the Senior Marketing Manager will be working closely with the candidate to oversee projects and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Makes recommendations and /or assists in solving problems to ensure communication solutions are implemented
  • Participates in communication strategy development
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and ensures alignment between stakeholders
  • Identifies and liaises with the stakeholders about opportunities for communications to other groups (e.g. customers, media, etc.) to increase communication effectiveness and alignment
  • Actively looks for opportunities for continuous improvement of communications processes and procedures, and participates/leads communications continuous improvement initiatives
  • Remains alert to new trends, tools and methods of communication, and makes recommendations on their application
 
Experience/ Skills:
Must have:
  • 4 - 6 years of professional working experience in strategy and campaign management with a marketing role on the brand side or agency side (events or paid media) as the primary client lead. - more in events
  • 2-3 years of marketing experience in India or familiar with India market
  • Have an understanding of newcomers to Canada, which also includes their own experience
  • Work well under pressure with strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders
  • Strong ability to apply research/data/learnings into strategic plans to deliver on business goals (and not just providing data), as well as ability to take technical and complex information and distill it to key messages that make sense for the audience
  • Strong English verbal & written communication skills
  • Is a collaborative team player who is pro-active and driven, and can also work independently
 
Nice to have:
  • 1-2 years of experience in banking/ financial institutions
  • 1-2 years of experience in Sponsorships/ Partnerships, experience in negotiation or stakeholder management within these partnerships
  • Can read/ write/ speak Indian or Chinese languages
