Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized UAT SME/UAT Script Writer to join our quality assurance team. The UAT SME/UAT Script Writer will be responsible for manually writing business test cases/scripts to test the Engineering Team work to ensure that it meets quality standards, identifying defects, and providing valuable feedback to the Engineering and QA Teams . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, best practices and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Test scripts writing
    • Create test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and maintain traceability
    • Create test data requirements based off of test cases and requirements
    • Participate in requirements refinement sessions
  • Test Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to create test plans and test strategy
  • Test Execution (User Acceptance Testing / UAT): Execute test cases, accurately document test results, and identify and report software defects
  • Exploratory Testing: Perform exploratory testing to uncover defects and usability issues that may not be covered by existing test cases
  • Defect Reporting: Clearly document and report software defects, including steps to reproduce and the expected vs. actual results
  • Test Environment Setup: Prepare and set up the necessary test environments to conduct testing activities
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
 
Skills and Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Experience in Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Experience in manual software testing
  • Experience in writing technical documentation
  • Experience in writing test cases for both happy path & unhappy path
  • Familiarity with testing terminologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work & deliver in a fast paced & collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, processes and best practices
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and web browsers
  • Knowledge of SQL for database testing
  • Basic scripting or automation skills for test data setup or repetitive tasks
