Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Post secondary education preferred; minimum 6 months lab experience in professional or post secondary education setting Post secondary education includes universities and colleges, as well as trade and vocational schools. (trade or vocational diploma, or 3+ years full-time military service). A physical abilities test will be required, ability to lift / push up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling and standing for extended period of time. About You! Self motivated, Detail oriented, lot of physical activity required. This is not a desk job or Bench job. Do not want the small scale lab experience. Looking for manufacturing and large scale production experience. Key notes: Looking for GMP processing experience. Food and Beverage manufacturing and processing (large scale, not restaurant) is also acceptable. Pharmaceutical manufacturing would be preferable. Shift: 5 x 8 hr. days/ wk. –Potential for rotating shifts and weekend work. Hours: 5:30am – 2pm. Estimated potential OT weekly 5+ hours. Important note: *Working Condition*: No make-up/jewelry, No long nails, nail polish, business and appropriate attire is expected. Clothing that is torn, revealing, has any type of derogatory print or pants not worn properly is prohibited. Shoes that are a flip-flop style are prohibited at their properties. They are considered to be a safety hazard. Unacceptable footwear: a shoe with a thong between the big and second toe and no support at the back

Responsibilities:
Position description for lab tech (entry level): A Laboratory Technician is responsible for critical laboratory procedures and duties in the production of veterinary products. Technicians may work with a variety of technical equipment while completing preparation of media and raw material solution for veterinary product manufacture At all times technicians must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies, perform duties assigned by department supervision. Some of the duties may include, but are not limited to: •Perform procedures including aseptic work, media preparation, bulk container filling, and sterilization methods such as filtration or autoclaving. • Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation. •Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks. • Cleaning work areas, prepare, clean and sterilize glassware and equipment for use . • Equipment setup and operation. • Hazardous materials: Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, Phenolic Disinfectants, Oxidizers, Acids/Bases, Sensitizing Agents and enzymes. • Lab coats & PPE provided.
