Location: Toronto, ON M7A 0A9 (candidate must be willing to occasionally travel within Canada to manage event programs)
Duration: 24 months

Pay Rate: CA$31.03/Hour
 
Role Mandate:
  • Under the direction of the Head, Wealth Management & Enterprise Events, this job is accountable for creating and delivering consistently great client experiences through the planning and execution of events, both internal and external, for Client’s Financial Group.
  • These events are highly visible and involve interaction with clients as well as senior-level executives.
  • The role has responsibility for managing budgets, logistics, engaging business partners, managing internal and external communications, executing, and tracking and reporting results.
 
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Serve as a contact for, and interact with, senior client executives and clients as they participate in client events and conferences
  • Interact with senior client executives through briefings and meetings as they participate in events and conferences
  • Design and delivery of consistently great client experiences
  • Provide guidance and recommendations as well as execution for internal & external conferences and events in support of cross-border groups.
  • Develop and obtain required budget and client strategy approvals from executives
  • Assist in the development and execution of annual event strategies to meet business objectives
  • Prepare briefing materials and coordinate event schedules for senior executives
  • Develop and manage event calendars
  • Assist in the development and implementation of event tracking mechanisms to assess program effectiveness and alignment with overall strategic goals
  • Provide credible advice and support to senior client executives during events and internal conferences
  • Selection and oversight of promotional merchandise used at events
 
Must-Have Skills:
  • Minimum 2-3 years work experience in event management, including demonstrated project management
  • Strong understanding of strategies and objectives of individual groups across the organization
  • Awareness of financial services competitive marketplace and trends,
  • Professional polish and ability to interact with very senior executives and clients.
  • Team player, motivated and committed, self-starter and quick learner, confident, assertive, strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work in ambiguity and under pressure, as well as handle multiple projects simultaneously and resolve conflicts on site
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Adobe Acrobat
