Data Architect, Microsoft Fabric, Data Lakehouse, OneLake, Spark, Delta Lake for a contract to hire position.This position is onsite in the San Gabriel / Pasadena area.
- Designing, implementing, and managing data lakehouse environment within Microsoft Fabric.
- Build a robust and scalable data platform
What you will be doing
- Design and implement a modern data lakehouse architecture within Microsoft Fabric,leveraging OneLake, Spark, and Delta Lake
- Define data ingestion, processing, and storage strategies
- Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models t
- Establish data governance policies and procedures
- Ensure data quality and security
- Implement appropriate access controls and data masking techniques
- Implementation and maintenance of the data lakehouse environment
- Build and optimize data pipelines
- ETL / ELT processes
- Implement data quality checks and validation rules
- Monitor the performance and health of the data lakehouse, identifying and resolving any issues
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Microsoft Fabric
- Evaluate new features and functionalities to enhance the data lakehouse environment
- Communicate technical concepts and designs for technical and non-technical stakeholders on data lakehouse architecture
- Development and maintenance of data architecture documentation and standards
What you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture
- Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Microsoft Fabric
- Experience with OneLake, Spark, Synapse
- SQL and data modeling techniques
- Design and implement scalable data structures
- Experience in data governance and data quality management
Highly Preferred:
- Experience with Delta Lake and Spark
- Data processing and analytics frameworks
- Data security and privacy best practices
- Agile development methodologies
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate
