Business Intelligence (BI) Data Analyst

Duties:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled BI Data Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves developing impactful visual reports, dashboards, and key performance indicator (KPI) scorecards while collaborating with various business and technical teams.
  • You will utilize Power BI and other data analytics tools to provide actionable insights and drive business performance. Your ability to transform and analyze data, develop robust data models, and work with cross-functional teams will be key to delivering successful solutions.
 
What You Will Do:
  • Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI and other analytics platforms to track and monitor business performance.
  • Connect to various data sources, import, and transform data for business intelligence needs.
  • Design and develop tabular and multidimensional models that integrate seamlessly with the technical stack.
  • Integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics (e.g., Power BI service, API automation).
  • Implement row-level security and understand application security layer models within Power BI.
  • Collaborate with business professionals, application developers, and technical staff in an agile environment to successfully implement data-driven solutions.
 
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in product analytics, marketing analytics, and/or eCommerce. Experience in B2C and B2B environments is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with at least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data analytics. An MBA or a Master's in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Statistics, Engineering, IT) is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL/Hive for data extraction, stitching, and analysis.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data science modeling and Python for automation is a plus.
  • Expertise in A/B and multivariate testing, conversion rate optimization, statistical hypothesis testing, and test design, with the ability to combine disparate data sources (web, product, financial, etc.) to derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex data insights to a wide range of stakeholders clearly and succinctly.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a matrixed environment. Jira experience is a plus.
  • Experience with data transformation & ELT pipelines, working with large data sets using tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Jupyter Notebooks.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with building and deploying machine learning models and ML pipelines (e.g., Sklearn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, KubeFlow, MLFlow, SageMaker) is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, manage different projects simultaneously, and demonstrate a positive, motivated approach with strong interpersonal communication skills.
